Work to date
We have already started.
We've interviewed some 60 leaders across CI. We wanted to start with our people to find out their perspectives. To ask them if the nature and pace of change is in fact impacting their leadership.
-
53% of leaders interviewed think that their teams have a mixed or negative disposition to change yet only 21% these leaders see their disposition as negative!
-
78% of leaders don’t understand Agile Project Management and the impact that this iterative approach has on their need to be ‘adaptive’
-
71% of Leaders say they want to remain involved in the ongoing design and implementation of any change leadership approach
-
The CPUM Change Leadership Handbook is overwhelmingly seen as a useful reference with 57% of leaders rating it ‘Valuable’ and 29% rating it ‘Extremely Valuable’. How do we leverage this across CI?
-
Leaders have already started to change the way that they plan to lead change
They want to lead despite the uncertainty. They just want to know how.
What are our people saying?
When we asked those leaders we've worked with so far "What has changed about the way you now lead change?", this was some of their responses:
"Much more positive about the formulation stages of how to go about implementing change."
"Ensuring I am fully knowledgeable about the change and working on understanding and embracing agile delivery."
"I try to be more informed around the reasons for change as opposed to just trying to implement/champion."
"I try to zoom into the detail when I sense a disconnect to find out why the disconnect exists and how we can get through it."
We have already started working on Adaptive Leadership. Together with Ninja we'll be unstoppable!
